What is this Game?

The Trench Wizard is a short musical comedy RPG based on an episode of Off Book: The Improvised Musical Podcast! You play heroes like Sewer Mage and Rebellious Scribe to uncover the mystery behind the Town of Endless Night.

What's Off Book?

It's a comedy podcast where the hosts (Zach Reino and Jess McKenna) completely improvise a whole entire musical every episode.

You made a podcast episode into an RPG?

Yes! In the middle of Ep. 227: Trench Wizard, Zach and Jess completely improvise a video game. I took the plot and quickly made it into a short RPG featuring their improvised songs.

Do I need to listen to the episode?

No! Just keep in mind everything was improvised. I stayed true to the episode, which purposely includes mistakes and some characters intentionally speak "bad dialog".

Why should I play instead of just listening to the episode?

I've added branching dialog with extra jokes during the short main quest. I've also added bonus content at the end including several secret bosses and a secret character!

Why did you include a prototype download?

The prototype has some originality and charm that I think was lost when I remade the whole game. Plus a little extra content for you all!
